8 Days Kashmir Splendor

Day 1: Singapore – Delhi
Depart Singapore on night flight. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to hotel for the night.

Day 2: Delhi – Srinagar (B,L,D)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for short (75 mins) but spectacular flight to Srinagar. Arrive Srinagar – pride of the beautiful valley of Kashmir, famous for its lakes dotted with Shikaras and the Mughal Gardens. Meet and greet, transfer via Shikara ride to Houseboat – among the best and  luxury accommodation in Kashmir, for check in followed by a leisurely cruise to Nehru Park. Evening dinner. Overnight in Houseboat, Srinagar.

Day 3: Srinagar -Sonmarg- Srinagar (B,D)
This morning you will proceed for a full day excursion to the Sonmarg – Meadow of Gold (84 km/2 ½ hr) on Srinagar- Leh road. A gushing river is the highlight of this meadow, flowing down from snowy heights into the dense woodlands of firs and silver birches. Glaciers pour down from this stream from the Himalayas on to the many camping sites in Sonmarg. A thick forest cover of sycamore, alpine flowers, silver birch, fir and pine, Sonamarg offers adventure in the form of treks, sledging, angling, alpine skiing and white water rafting. Return to Srinagar. Evening dinner. Overnight in Houseboat, Srinagar.

Optional: Enjoy pony ride or leisurely walks around the meadow at your own.

Day 3: Srinagar (B,L,D)
After breakfast, you proceed to half day excursion to the Mughal Gardens, located on the eastern bank of the Dal Lake i.e. Shalimar bagh, Nishat bagh, Chashm-e-Shahi and botanical gardens, Post lunch visit to Khirbhawani Temple, it is situated at Tullamula of Srinagar district. It is a popular Hindu shrine, which is dedicated to Ragnya Devi. This historic temple was built by Maharaja Pratap Singh in 1912. It was later renovated by Maharaja Hari Singh. Evening dinner. Overnight in the Houseboat, Srinagar.

Day 4: Srinagar – Pahalgam (B,L,D)
Today you will be transferred by road to Pahalgam - Valley of Shepherds (94 km/2.5 hrs) . Enroute you will have a rare opportunity to visit the Saffron fields. Enroute visit Avantipura Ruins, founded by king Avantivarman who reigned from AD 855 – 883 situated at a distance of 18 miles from Srinagar on the Anantnag cart-road, represents the town of Avantipura. Avantipura cricket bat factory & Anantnag Sulpher Springs. Enjoy the bounty of Nature at Pahalgam, located on the bank of beautiful Lidder River. Evening dinner. Overnight in Pahalgam.

Day 5: Pahalgam (Lidder Valley) (B,D)
This morning you are free to explore Lidder Valley at your own. Lidder Valley, inarguably the best of the Kashmir valleys, forms the north-eastern corner of the Kashmir vale. The valley, for its mild looks, serene air and the lush meadows, glaciers and snow-covered peaks dotting its 40 mile stretch, has been often compared with Scotland in appeal. Overnight in Pahalgam.

Option 1. Visit to Aru Valley which is a small village, 15 km upstream the Lidder River ; the route is picturesque with ample campsites. This village is the starting point for treks to the Kolahoi glacier. 

Option 2. Visit to Chandanwari, 16 Kms which is the starting point of sacred Amarnath Yatra. Chandanwari is famous for snow sledging on a snow bridge, Enroute you can visit Hajan, an idyllic picnic spot and Bettab valley where the famous bollywood movie Betaab was shot. 

Option 3. You can enjoy leisurely walks in pine forest along River Lidder and enjoy picnic on riverside. 

Option 4.  You can enjoy ponny ride to Baisaran meadow, surrounded by thickly wooded pine forest and snow-capped mountains. Thisgrassy glen offers a panoramic view of Pahalgam town and Lidder Valley.

Day 6: Pahalgam – Gulmarg (B,L,D)
Today you will be transferred by road to Gulmarg, Meadow of Flowers (2730m/154 km /4 hrs). Full day at leisure to take the leisurely walks on the lush green meadows of flowers with a backdrop of the snow capped mountains. Evening dinner. Overnight in Gulmarg.

Optional: Enjoy pony ride or Gondola ride (rope way) to Khillanmarg on your own.

Day 7: Srinagar – Delhi (B,L,D)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to hotel. Evening dinner. Overnight hotel in Delhi.

Day 8: Delhi – Singapore
Early morning arrive Singapore.
